Find out when the FoodTrader portal is arriving and what you need to do
When is it coming?
On Monday 19th June, the Victorian Department of Health will launch FoodTrader. FoodTrader is the new statewide registration and notification portal for people selling food from temporary and mobile food premises in Victoria.
Who is it for?
FoodTrader will replace ‘Streatrader’ for the registration and notification of all temporary and mobile food premises in Victoria.
What happens to my Streatrader account?
From 8th June, all Victorian councils will begin the transition to FoodTrader in preparation for its launch. During this time, all visitors to the Streatrader web portal will be automatically redirected to this FoodTrader website and a ‘freeze’ placed on the further use of Streatrader, including for the submission of new registration/notification applications.
When the FoodTrader portal becomes live on Monday 19th June, new users, as well as existing Streatrader users, will be able to set up a FoodTrader account.
Streatrader users will need to set up the new account using the same email address associated with their previous Streatrader account to ensure their current and temporary premises details are available to them in the new portal.
How will I be supported through this change?
We’ve tried to make the switch as seamless as possible. If you do require help or advice, you can contact a dedicated transition support team at the department – refer to the Contact page for details. Your council will also be on hand to guide you.
